Important information

The Therapy Team is a multidisciplinary team of qualified counsellors, psychotherapists and coaches (referred to below as ‘practitioners’).

This notice applies to the personal information you may provide to the manager of the Therapy Team, Vesna Mandic-Bozic (‘the Team Manager’) when contacting the Therapy Team using the postal address, telephone number and email address provided for the Therapy Team (see section A below). It does not apply to personal data you may provide the individual practitioners within the team when sending request for an appointment through the ‘Book an appointment’ facility of the website www.therapyteam.uk(‘the website’) or personal data provided to individual practitioners if engaged (see section B below).

The practitioners within the Therapy Team and the Team Manager respect the privacy of your personal data. This notice sets out important information about individual privacy rights and how the law protects individuals. Should you have any concerns with respect to the use of the personal information you have provided in contacting the Therapy Team or using the website, please contact the Team Manager on info@therapyteam.uk.

A. Contacting the Team Manager of the Therapy Team

Personal information means any information about an individual from which that personal can be identified. When you use the contact the Therapy Team using the contact details on the website, you may provide the following personal information:

  • Identity and contact information includes name, email address and telephone numbers; and
  • Details of any enquiry concerning the services offered by the Team generally or any individual practitioner.

This information will be received by the Team Manager. The personal data you provide the Team Manager will be stored securely for the purposes of responding to your enquiry and retained no longer than is necessary to process the request. This personal data will not be shared by the Team Manager with any of the practitioners on the Team. The Team Manager has a legitimate interest in processing this personal data for the purposes of responding to your enquiry.

The Team Manager has put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

This information is not transferred outside of the European Economic Area.

B. Booking an appointment and engaging an individual practitioner

When sending request for an appointment through the ‘Book an appointment’ facility of the through the website, you may provide the following personal information:

  • Identity and contact information includes name, email address and telephone numbers; and
  • Your request for an appointment from a named practitioner.

This information is directed automatically to the email account of the named practitioner and is not shared with the Team Manager or any other member of the team.

Should you engage the professional services of practitioner in the team, they will use and hold your personal information in their capacity as an independent private practitioners and separate data controllers. The personal information you provide that practitioner, including your clinical file, will be held securely by them and will not be shared with any other practitioners within the team or the Team Manager.

Please refer to the privacy notice of the relevant practitioner for further details concerning the use and storage of your personal data by them.

Your legal rights

You have the following rights with respect to the personal data held by the Team Manager or the practitioners on the Team:

  • Request access to personal information(commonly known as a "data subject access request").
  • Request correction of the personal information that held about them. This enables them to request for any incomplete or inaccurate data held about you to be corrected.
  • Request erasure of personal information. You can ask to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for it to continue to be processed.
  • Object to processing of personal informationwhere there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on the ground of legitimate interests as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Request restriction of processing of personal information. You can ask me to suspend the processing of their personal information in the specific circumstances.

Please direct any request with respect to original enquiries to the Therapy Team to the Team Manager on info@therapyteam.uk. Otherwise, please direct requests with respect to any requests to book an appointment or personal data shared in the course of your professional engagement to the relevant practitioner.

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). However, if you have any concerns, please raise these with the Team Manager or relevant individual practitioner so we can try to resolve these before contacting the ICO.
